5.1.8. Removal and installation of the thermostatModels with the M57 engine

If the established hoses of nadduvochny air damp and with lubricant traces, it can lead to a turbocompressor exit out of operation. Hoses have to be dry and without lubricant traces. |
|
The thermostat is built in in the case and is replaced only assembled. |
|
- Take off belts of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Head Dvigatel).
- Lower cooling liquid (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).
- Cover the generator to prevent hit on it of oil, fuel and OZh.
- Remove the top cover of the engine.

- Unclench a collar (1) of fastening of a hose of nadduvochny air. Disconnect a hose of nadduvochny air.

|
Hoses have to be dry and without lubricant traces. Turn out a bolt (2). |
|
- Turn out bolts and remove the formed hose in the direction specified by an arrow.
|
|
At installation grease the interfaced surfaces with a thin layer of vaseline and establish new sealing rings. |
|
- Weaken a collar (1) of fastening of the pipeline of the EGR system, turn out a bolt (2), then bolts (3) and press the thermofilter in the direction specified by an arrow. Remove the EGR system pipeline.

|
- Remove clamps (1 and 2) and disconnect a water hose (3). Turn out bolts (4) fastenings of the case of the thermostat and remove it.
|
- Installation is made upside-down. Use new laying of the case of the thermostat.

|
Models with the M60 engine
|
- Remove protection of a case of the engine.
- Lower cooling liquid (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).
- Remove the top part of the case of the air cleaner together with the MAF sensor.
- Disconnect a branch pipe of the cooling system and uncover the thermostat case.
- Installation is made upside-down. Use new laying of the case of the thermostat.
