10.2. Removal and installation of the driveshaft and elastic coupling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove system of release of OG assembled, and also its thermofilters (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  2. Give bolts and nuts.

Nuts of fastening of differential to a flange of an output shaft of transmission

At installation use new самоконтрящиеся nuts; tighten threaded connections nuts, but not bolts.


  1. Insert the screw-driver into the CV JOINT groove, wring out and disconnect the hinge from a flange of an output shaft.
  1. Remove an intermediate support.

It is necessary to establish an intermediate support with a preliminary tightness in the direction of the car on the size (A) 2 ÷ 4 of mm.

Do not allow falling of the driveshaft since otherwise damage of hinges and a rubber cuff of the CV JOINT is possible.


  1. Press on an intermediate support so that the driveshaft caved in down. Disconnect the CV JOINT from a reducer of the back bridge and to remove the driveshaft from a flange of an output shaft of transmission.

In order to avoid pollution of the CV JOINT it should be covered.


  1. If necessary give fixture and remove the elastic coupling.

At installation of the coupling of an arrow on its case have to be turned to a flange cheek.


  1. Fill up hinge lubricant. Put forward the CV JOINT (1 against the stop and degrease the interfaced surfaces of the CV JOINT and a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer. Replace laying (2). Get the driveshaft with the put-forward CV JOINT on a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer. Alternately tightening any two opposite nuts, evenly bring the CV JOINT to a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer. After that tighten other nuts.

Use new nuts. It is not allowed to push the CV JOINT back during assembly since lubricant can squeeze out a sealing ring and break tightness of the hinge.


  1. Check and grease the aligning element (4), replace the damaged aligning element.
