10.3. Replacement of the CV JOINT of the driveshaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the driveshaft (see the Section Removal and installation of the driveshaft and elastic coupling).
  1. Remove a lock ring.

At installation use a new lock ring.


  1. Beat out bolts.

At installation do not forget to establish podkladny plates.


  1. Pull together a protective cover from the hinge.

At installation apply fresh lubricant on the CV JOINT from a corrugated boot and a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer. Insert into the CV JOINT consolidation (1).


  1. Remove the CV JOINT by means of a stripper No. 26 1 070 or No. 26 1 110.
  1. Degrease a gear wreath and apply on it the fixing Loctite 648 sealant.

You watch that sealant did not get on a path of swing of balls. Selection (1) under consolidation has to be turned to a boot.


  1. Install the CV JOINT and pull it against the stop by means of a mandrel No. 23 1 040 or No. 24 1 040.
