6.4.3. Removal and installation lambda probes

The carving new a lambda probes is already greased with Never Seez Compound paste. At installation being in operation a lambda probe grease with a thin and uniform layer of the specified paste only its carving part. It is not allowed to clean and enter the part a lambda probe which is in the final pipeline into contact with lubricant. When drawing anticorrosive protection of the bottom of a body a lambda probe it is necessary to cover. Lay an electrical wiring a lambda probes according to the original scheme of laying.

Models with M52, M60 and M62 engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Separate the electrical wiring socket a lambda probe.
  1. Unclench a clip and take out a wire a lambda probe.
  2. Turn out a lambda probe.
  1. Tighten a lambda probe by means of adaptation No. 11 7 030 with the required effort.

Models with the M52TU engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Unclench a collar of fastening and release an electrical wiring a lambda probe. Separate the socket dokatalitichesky a lambda probe.

If the socket is under the protection cover of injectors, remove the lower part of the case of the saloon filter and the protection cover of injectors.


  1. Remove a lambda probe by means of special adaptation No. 11 7 020.
  1. Tighten a lambda probe by means of adaptation No. 11 7 020 with the required effort.

Post-catalytic lambda probes

On models with AT at too big deviations access to post-catalytic a lambda probe on the party of cylinders No. No. 4 – 6 is possible only after removal of system of release of OG.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the protection cover of injectors.
  1. Not to mix at installation sockets post-catalytic a lambda probes for ranks of cylinders No. No. 1 - 3 and No. No. 4 - 6 apply the corresponding tags on sockets.
  1. To release an electrical wiring from the holder and separate the socket. Bring an electrical wiring out of cable channel from the back party of the engine.
  2. Remove post-catalytic a lambda probe for a number of cylinders No. No. 1 - 3 by means of special adaptation No. 11 7 030, and post-catalytic a lambda probe for a number of cylinders No. No. 4 - 6 – by means of special adaptation No. 11 7 020.
  3. Installation is made upside-down. For installation a lambda probes use the same devices that for their removal.

Models with the M73 engine

  1. Give nuts on a cover and separate the socket.

  1. Remove a lambda probe by means of adaptation 11 7 030.
  1. Installation is made upside-down. For installation a lambda probes use the same adaptation that for their removal.
