14.3.3. Check and adjustment of angles of installation of levers of a screen wiper

The angle of installation of the lever of a screen wiper on a windshield first of all defines quality of purification of glass in an interval operating mode and at a low speed of the movement of the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Install on glass adaptation No. 00 9 230 near a point of turn of a brush of a screen wiper. If the angle of installation is adjusted incorrectly, turn the screen wiper lever in the correct situation with the help of two devices No. 00 9 220. The procedure is performed in the following order: Choose as the bigger distance (A) from adaptation (1) to adaptation (2) is possible and fix adaptation (1) so that the hinge (3) did not experience strain at a bend; Turn adaptation (2); Check functioning.
