5.1.6. Removal and installation of the water pump

Models with the M60 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Lower OZh (see the Section Replacement of Cooling Liquid of the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car). Remove a damper of tortional fluctuations (see the Head Dvigatel). If necessary, disconnect tubes of supply of additional air (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases). Turn out bolts of fastening and remove a pulley. Remove a cooling system branch pipe between a broad tank and a water pomp. Disconnect a cooling system branch pipe from a thermostat case cover, uncover cases of the thermostat and the thermostat (see the Section Removal and installation of the thermostat). Turn out bolts and remove the water pump. At installation check correctness of an arrangement of the aligning plugs. Clear the condensed surfaces, replace laying. In conclusion remove air from the cooling system and check its tightness (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).

Models with the M67 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the lower protection covers of facing of the engine and the transmission. Remove the top cover of the engine and a casing of the fan (see the Section Removal and installation of a casing of the fan). Remove a damper of tortional fluctuations (see the Head Dvigatel). Disconnect a vacuum hose (1), separate the socket (2) managing directors of valves, unclench a collar (3) and disconnect the socket (4) from a dual thermoswitch. Turn out bolts (1) and take the block (2) managing directors of valves aside. Wring out clamps of water hoses (1 and 2), disconnect them and put aside. Water hose Turn out bolts of fastening of the water pump. Bolts of fastening of the water pump. Carefully remove the water pump in the direction specified by an arrow. Turn out bolts (1) and rearrange the thermostat (2) on the new water pump. At installation replace a sealing ring of the thermostat. Disconnect a tube (1) of the cooling system and rearrange the dual thermal sensor (2) on the new water pump. At installation replace sealing rings in a pump housing and on the thermal sensor. Installation is made upside-down. In order to avoid damage of new consolidations carefully pull the water pump over a uvula (1). Pay attention to the provision of a collar (2). Pay attention to the different length of bolts of fastening of the water pump. In conclusion of installation fill the cooling system and pump over it (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).

Models with the M73 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

On the party of cylinders 1-6 remove the one-pass valve of system of decrease in toxicity of OG (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases). Remove thermofilters on the left side of a beam of the forward bridge. Turn out a stopper for discharge of cooling liquid on the left side of the block of cylinders. Lower OZh (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car). Remove a broad tank (see the Section Removal and installation of a broad tank). Remove a fan casing (see the Section Removal and installation of a casing of the fan). Take off a belt of the drive of the K/V compressor (see the Head Dvigatel). Turn out a bolt, disconnect OZh branch pipe from the water pump and remove a branch pipe. Weaken a collar and take out a sleeve. Unclench a bracket (1) and remove OZh supply hose to a broad tank of a radiator. Separate OZh temperature sensor electrical wiring socket. Remove a krylchatka of the fan. Turn out bolts and remove a pump OZh drive belt pulley (see an illustration). Remove a damper of tortional fluctuations (see the Head Dvigatel). Unclench a bracket (1) of fastening and take out a hose for pumping, weaken a collar of fastening of a hose on the water pump. Turn out fastening bolts (see an illustration). Screw three bolts in specially intended carving openings and evenly wring out the water pump from the engine. Installation is made upside-down. Replace sealing rings.
