6.2.4. Removal and installation of the case of a throttle, replacement of its laying

Case of a throttle of ASC T of the M52 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Separate sockets. At installation connect PCV hose on the soaking-up hose. Disconnect a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve. At installation of a cable the gap has to make 0.5 ÷ 1 mm. Check a condition of a sealing ring (1) and if necessary replace it. Weaken a collar (1), turn out bolts (2). To turn out bolts of fastening of an arm of the case of a throttle and remove an arm. Installation is made upside-down.

Laying of the case of a throttle of the M52 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove an air flowmeter (see the Section Removal and installation of the case of the air cleaner). Remove the case of a throttle of the ASC T system. Unhook a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve. Disconnect and block hoses of heating of a butterfly valve. At the same time the insignificant quantity of OZh follows. Turn out bolts and remove the case of a butterfly valve together with consolidation. Replace laying. Installation is made upside-down. Check the OZh level and if necessary modify it.

Case of a throttle of the M52TU models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a negative wire from the rechargeable battery. Remove the air cleaner case. Remove an air flowmeter (see the Section Removal and installation of the case of the air cleaner). Extend a cable from the holder (1) the movement up and unhook from the mechanism of the drive of a butterfly valve. At installation adjust a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve. Weaken collars (1). Disconnect a branch pipe from the case of a butterfly valve and the IAC valve. Disconnect sockets of the resonant valve (1) and the IAC (2) valve, and also D/V of pressure (1) and temperature (2) of motive oil. Turn out bolts of fastening of a box of an electrical wiring. Release fuel-supply lines and a wire of the sensor of level of oil from the holder (1) on the directing tube of the probe of level of motive oil. Disconnect a drain oil pipeline (2) from the directing tube, turn out a bolt (3) and pick up the directing phone of the probe of level of motive oil. At installation replace a sealing ring of the directing tube. Take a box of an electrical wiring (1) aside and disconnect the socket (2) from the case of a butterfly valve. Turn out bolts (3) and remove the case of a butterfly valve. Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments: Replace a sealing ring of the case of a butterfly valve; Before connection fix the socket on the case of a butterfly valve. For this purpose, holding the socket fork case, turn on it the fixing ring clockwise (looking from a free end face of a fork) that the clamp was latched. Between ledges on the case of a fork the opening through which at the correct fixing the red lock pin has to be visible is located; At connection of the socket the white tag in the form of an arrow on the case of a fork has to coincide with an arrow on the case of a butterfly valve. Join the socket, turn the fixing ring clockwise (taking a detached view connections of an electrical wiring to a fork); If the butterfly valve was removed for the purpose of its replacement because of malfunction, it is necessary to bring anew by means of the diagnostic equipment in ECM initial values of correction.

Case of a throttle of ASC T of the M60 and M62 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Switch off ignition. Disconnect a hose (1). Weaken a collar (2) and remove a protective cover. Separate the socket. Hang out a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve. At installation adjust a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve so that it did not sag. Turn out bolts (1-3) and remove the case of a butterfly valve. Installation is made upside-down. At installation replace laying of the case of a throttle.

Case of a throttle of the M60 and M62 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Switch off ignition. Remove the top cover of a motive compartment.

Models with the IAC valve

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Separate the socket on the IAC valve and on a potentiometer of a butterfly valve. Wring out brackets (1), weaken a collar (2) (if it is established) and disconnect a hose. Separate the socket (3). On models with the M62 engine separate the IAT sensor electrical wiring socket. Weaken collars (1 and 2) and remove air intake hoses together with the top section of the case of the air cleaner. Remove cables (1 and 2) of management of a butterfly valve (accelerator pedals and a tempostata). At installation the cable of the accelerator pedal should not have a free wheeling, and the free wheeling of a cable of a tempostat has to make 1 ÷ 2 mm. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the case of a butterfly valve. Turn out bolts (1-6) and remove the case of a butterfly valve. Installation is made upside-down. Replace laying of the case of a butterfly valve.

Models without IAC valve

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Separate the socket (1), disconnect vacuum pipelines (4) and remove the soaking-up pipe (3) with the top section (2) cases of the air cleaner. Separate the socket (1), remove a sealing ring (3) which, perhaps, it was necessary to sit in the place. Turn out screws (2) and remove the case of a butterfly valve. Installation is made upside-down. If necessary replace laying of the case of a butterfly valve.

Case of a throttle of the M73 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a negative wire from the rechargeable battery. Switch off ignition. Remove the top cover of the engine.

Case of a throttle of cylinders No. No. 7-12

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a branch pipe from the case of a butterfly valve. Separate the socket (1), turn out bolts and remove an arm of fastening of a conclusion of the positive plug of the rechargeable battery in a motive compartment. At installation replace laying. Unclench a collar (1) of fastening and remove a hose. Disconnect a hose (2). At the corresponding complete set remove the valve of supply of additional air. At installation replace a fuel hose to the EVAP valve and a fastening collar.

Case of a butterfly valve of cylinders No. No. 1-6

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a branch pipe from the case of a butterfly valve. Separate the socket (1) and turn out fastening bolts. At installation replace laying. Weaken a collar (1) and disconnect a hose. At the corresponding complete set remove the valve of additional air. At installation replace a fuel hose to the EVAP valve and a fastening collar.
