6.2.9. Removal and installation of sensors of a reserve of fuel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Empty the fuel tank.
  1. Remove a back seat (see the Head Kuzov) and take out a rubber cap. Separate the isolating rug through perforation (dashed line) and cast away it.

  1. Verify 4 screws and uncover.

At installation pay attention to laying.


  1. Separate the socket. Press a fuel-supply line, to weaken a collar and remove a fuel-supply line (on petrol engines – bringing, on diesel – drain).
  1. Give nuts, lift a cover as far as possible and cast away it upward.

Put a connecting hose under a cover, without fixing.


  1. Press at the same time clamps of the fuel pump (the black case). If the case white, take out the fuel pump from a holder.

At installation be convinced of reliability of fixing of both clamps. Check installation of a sealing ring on the connecting union and, carefully pressing, if necessary put him into place.


  1. Remove assembly of the fuel pump (1) and sensor (2) reserves of fuel.

Do not allow a sensor arm bend. At installation replace laying.

  1. Remove the sensor from the fuel pump.

The sensor is delivered assembled with connecting hoses and sockets.

  1. Separate both sockets (1) on the fuel pump. Weaken a collar (2) and accurately disconnect a spiral hose, without allowing damage of the union of the pump.
  2. Installation is made upside-down. Before installation straighten a connecting hose and a cable (1) between a cover (2) and the fuel pump (3) to avoid a tension.

The sensor of a reserve of fuel is fixed on the fuel tank by means of bayonetny connection.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out 3 screws and uncover.

At installation pay attention to laying.

  1. Separate the socket located under a cover.
  1. For removal of the sensor of a reserve of fuel insert a special key the ends into grooves on the sensor case. To turn a bayonetny lock counterclockwise before coincidence of a tag of "Auf" to an arrow on the fuel tank.
  1. Carefully take out the sensor, without allowing a bend of its arm.
  2. Installation is made upside-down. Replace rubber laying of the sensor. Insert the sensor so that tags of "Auf" coincided with an arrow on the fuel tank, and then turn the sensor before combination of a tag of "Zu" with an arrow on the fuel tank.
