6.2.5. Removal and installation of the IAC valve

Models with the M52 engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Switch off ignition. Remove the air cleaner case (see the Section Removal and installation of the case of the air cleaner).
  2. Remove cases of butterfly valves (see the Section Removal and installation of the case of a throttle, replacement of its laying).

Do not disconnect cables and hoses of heating of a butterfly valve.


  1. Pick up the directing phone of the probe of level of motive oil (1). Wring out a clamp, separate the socket, turn out two bolts (2) and disconnect the IAC valve.
  1. Remove laying (1) and a rubber collar (2). Weaken a collar (3) and disconnect a hose.
  1. Installation is made upside-down. Replace laying. In conclusion check idling turns.

Models with the M52TU engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Perform the operations described in paragraphs with 1 on 6 Sections Removal and installation of the case of a throttle, replacement of its laying.

Do not separate D/V sockets of pressure and temperature of motive oil.


  1. Turn out a bolt (1) of fastening of a box of an electrical wiring, bolts (2) holders of the valve (3) IAC and take out the IAC valve from an inlet collector together with an arm.
  1. Remove the valve (2) IAC from the fixing rubber element (4). Laying (1) between the IAC valve and the inlet pipeline is subject to replacement. But it is necessary to install consolidation at repeated installation not on the IAC valve, and at first in an inlet collector.
  1. Installation is made upside-down.

Models with M60 and M62 engines

  1. Perform the operations described in paragraphs with 1 on 3 Sections Removal and installation of the case of a throttle, replacement of its laying.
  1. Hang out fastening (1) and take out the IAC valve.
  1. Installation is made upside-down. For ensuring tightness sealing rings on the case of a throttle and on the IAC valve have to be pure and without damages. In case of damage of sealing rings they should be replaced. At installation first of all it is necessary to establish a sealing ring on a flange of a butterfly valve.
