6.3.2. Removal and installation of the case of the air cleaner

Models with the M51 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the filtering air cleaner element (see the Section Replacement of the Filtering Element of the air cleaner of the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car). Turn out bolts and remove the case of the air filter. Installation is made upside-down.

Models with the M67 engine

The description for the left air cleaner is given below. The case of the right air cleaner is removed similarly.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Switch off ignition. Weaken a collar (1) of the soaking-up hose, separate the socket (2) on a flowmeter of air and give fixture of the case of the air cleaner (3) to a body. Remove the case (3) of the left air filter together with an air flowmeter. Installation is made upside-down. Check consolidation between a flowmeter of air and the soaking-up hose for absence of damage, if necessary replace consolidation.
