3.16. Replacement of the filtering air cleaner element

M51 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Extend a cover of the air filter up. Take the old filtering element and establish new, previously having cleaned channels from a fence and an air outlet. Close a cover.

M52, M57 engines

The description for the M52 engine is given below. Replacement of the filtering element on the M57 engine is made similarly.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a corrugated hose from a cover of the air filter. Turn out 4 bolts on the top part of a cover. Raise and cast away an air cleaner cover. Take the filtering element from the air cleaner case. Clear the case and establish the new filtering element. Establish into place a roof and reliably connect to it a corrugated hose. For installation of a cover at first it should be hung from below.

M60, M62, M67 engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Wring out brackets (1). 1 — Brackets 2 — the Hose 1 — Brackets 2 — the Collar of fastening of an air hose 3 — the Hose On M60 B30 and M67 engines weaken a collar of fastening of an air hose (2) and disconnect a hose. On the M62 engine separate the socket of an electrical wiring of the sensor of temperature of the soaked-up air (IAT). On the M67 engine separate the socket of a raskhodometr of air. Remove the top part of the case of the air cleaner. Take the filtering element from the lower part of the case of the air cleaner, wipe the case and establish the new filtering element. Install the being removed components.

M73 engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

On the right number of cylinders perform the operations described in paragraphs with 2 on 4. Press a clamp (2) and separate the socket (1). Wring out brackets (1), weaken a collar (2) and disconnect a hose. Separate the socket (3), raise and remove the top cover of the air cleaner. On the left number of cylinders wring out brackets (1), weaken a collar (2) and disconnect a hose. Separate the socket (3) and remove the top cover of the air cleaner. Take the filtering element from the lower part of the case of the air cleaner, wipe the case and establish the new filtering element. Install the being removed components.
