9.3. Removal and AT installation and hydrotransformer

Removal

The description on the example of AT A5S 310Z of the M60/1 engine is given below.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a negative wire from the rechargeable battery. Remove system of release of OG assembled, and also its thermofilters (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases). Remove arms of fastening of mudguards on both sides. On models to 08.1995 g of the issue install the selector lever in situation "P" and install adaptation No. 24 5 240 on the control unit balance weight. Give a nut (1). At installation adjust the selector lever. On models from 08.1995 g of the issue give a nut (2, holding a clip (1). At installation adjust the selector lever. Take out the screw-driver a clamp (1) and pull out draft (2). Remove the thermofilter on the left side of a beam of the forward bridge. Disconnect arms of fastening of oil pipelines from an engine case. Substitute capacity for collecting the following oil, give fixture (1) and release tips of oil pipelines from AT case. At assembly use new sealing rings of oil pipelines. Prop up AT by means of special devices No. No. 00 2 030/24 5 300. Disconnect an electrical wiring a lambda probes from a cross beam of fastening of AT (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases), turn out bolts of fastening and remove a cross beam of fastening of AT. Disconnect the driveshaft from AT and hang out it (see the Head Kardanny and power shafts, a reducer, differential and stupichny assemblies). Separate sockets of an electrical wiring and take it from fastening brackets to AT case. Take out a cap. Special key No. 24 1 110 verify 4 bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer. Turn out a bolt and take away a cover of a wire of a positive conclusion of the rechargeable battery down. Insert the device (whetstone) No. 23 3 030 between the pallet of a case of the engine and a beam of the forward bridge. To turn to the left forward wheels and lower AT. To prevent a vyskalzyvaniye of the hydrotransformer record it concerning AT. For this purpose insert the device No. 24 4 080 in a window (1) of a case of AT and hold them the hydrotransformer. Turn out bolts of fastening of AT, take away it back, pull out and lower AT. If necessary remove the hydrotransformer. For this purpose screw in it devices No. 24 4 000 and take out the hydrotransformer from AT. At the same time ATF follows.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments. At installation of the hydrotransformer do not allow damage of a sealing ring and the bearing. To insert the hydrotransformer into a case, slightly pressure him and turn until dredging of the hydrotransformer is not included into gearing with a power shaft of the oil pump. Press the hydrotransformer against the stop. It is necessary to roll bolts of fastening of AT only together with washers. At the AT installation adaptation No. 24 2 300 has to settle down coaxially to openings in the compensating coupling, and through a window of the pallet of a case there has to be an access to an opening (1) of the compensating coupling. Screw adaptation No. 24 2 300 in a carving opening and if necessary turn the hydrotransformer so that this opening appeared below. Be convinced available centering plugs. If necessary, take out centering plugs from a case of AT and insert into the block of cylinders. Replace the damaged centering plugs. Upon termination of works check the ATF level and if necessary modify it (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).
