11:13. Removal and installation of an electronic control unit of the ABS/ASC+T/DSC systems
The ABS control unit (models to 09.1998 g of the issue)

- Remove the lower section of finishing of a ware box.
|
- Turn out fastening bolts, shift the control unit down, so that it was possible to separate the socket of an electrical wiring of the block and remove it.

After installation of the new control unit it should be programmed, and on models with the DSC system it is in addition necessary to make coordination of the sensor of provision of a steering wheel. These procedures will require the diagnostic scanner. |

|
- Separate the socket (1), having shifted a clamp in the direction (2), and take out the socket, having pulled it in the direction (3) (vertically up).
|
|
At installation in order to avoid damage of contacts insert a socket fork into the control unit, disciplining it perpendicularly. |
|
- Turn out screws (1) and disconnect an electronic control unit (2) from the hydromodulator.
|
|
At installation use new screws. |
- Visually check the condensed surface of the hydromodulator for absence of damage and clear it.
|
At the same time use of tools with sharp edges and aggressive cleaners is not allowed. Check contacts of the socket for lack of corrosion and damages. At detection of defects of the condensed surface or contacts replace the hydromodulator. |
- Carefully get the control unit on the hydromodulator, without allowing a perekashivaniye of coils of excitement. The edge of the case of the control unit has to slide on a hydromodulator ledge.
- Press the control unit to the hydromodulator and screw fixing bolts (1 and 2), without tightening them until the case of the control unit does evenly not adjoin to the hydromodulator. Screw bolts with 1 on 6 to a prileganiye of contact surfaces, and then – with the required effort in the sequences from 1 to 6.
