11.3. Removal and installation of brake disks

- Remove wheels. If necessary remove and clear brake shoes (see the Section Replacement of Brake Shoes).
- Turn out bolts of fastening of a support and suspend it on a body, without disconnecting a brake hose.

The brake hose should not test at the same time tension. |

- Turn out a bolt and remove a brake disk.
|
|
|
For a reversing of bolts of fastening of a brake disk it is not allowed to beat with the hammer or something similar a frictional ring! If necessary carefully knock with the hammer with soft brisk on the basis of a brake disk. |
- Carefully clear the plane of interface to a brake disk on a wheel nave, if necessary remove corrosion traces. Roughnesses on the interfaced plane can lead to a buckling of a brake disk.
- The ventilated brake disks are balanced by means of the balancing brackets established on the internal diameter of a disk, – do not delete and do not move them.
- Measure thickness of a brake disk and if necessary replace it.
- Installation is made upside-down. Upon completion of works on the back brake mechanism adjust the parking brake (see the Section Adjustment of the Parking Brake).
