12.5.7. Removal and installation of the steering mechanism from GUR
|
When replacing the steering mechanism it is necessary to check height of installation of the pendular lever in relation to a steering shaft. Reuse of the lowered GUR liquid is not allowed. |
|
- Remove a steering wheel (see the Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel, the block of a safety cushion and its contact ring).
- Remove protection of a case of the engine and the thermofilter.
|
- Disconnect the GUR lines and muffle open openings protective caps.
|
|
At installation use new sealing rings (D). On models with the M52 engine the pipeline has to settle down at distance of 8 ÷ 10 mm from the steering mechanism, – check availability of other knots. |
|
- Give a nut and disconnect cross steering draft from a steering bipod by means of a stripper No. 32 1 190.
|
|
At installation on landing cones there should not be lubricant traces. Replace самоконтрящуюся a nut. |
- On models, except models with the M52 engine, remove a steering bipod (see the Section Removal and installation of steering drafts, a bipod and the pendular lever).

- Turn out a bolt and disconnect the cardan hinge of the lower section of a steering shaft from the steering mechanism.
|
|
At installation the bolt has to enter a nest of a steering shaft, and a tag on the mechanism and on a shaft have to coincide. |
- Disconnect the steering mechanism from a beam of the forward bridge.
|
|
At installation fix the steering mechanism on a beam of the forward bridge at first by hand by a bolt (1), and then tighten consistently with the required effort bolts (2) and (1). Use new самоконтрящиеся nuts. |

- Installation is made upside-down.
|
