12.5.8. Removal and installation of steering drafts, bipod and pendular lever

Bipod

When replacing a bipod of steering it is necessary to check height of its installation in relation to the pendular lever.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the steering mechanism (see the Section Removal and installation of the steering mechanism from GUR). Turn out tightening the screw (1), previously having noted the provision of an adjustable bipod of steering on a shaft with the gear sector. 1 — Tightening the screw 2 — Tags Installation is made upside-down. Spread a steering bipod to the put tag. At the same time the tag (2) has to be a steering bipod vent in the middle. Replace самоконтрящуюся a nut.

Cross steering drafts

To turn off a nut and to remove cross steering draft by means of adaptation No. 32 1 190. At installation on a pin and in an opening there should not be lubricant traces. Replace самоконтрящуюся a nut. If necessary hold knot from a provorachivaniye for an internal hexagon. Weaken tightening a bolt and turn out cross steering draft. Installation is made upside-down. Completely grease the adjusting coupling of draft with special lubricant. Upon termination of works check and adjust the angles of installation of forward wheels.

Average draft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To remove protection of a case of the engine. Give a nut and disconnect draft from a bipod of steering and from the pendular lever by means of a stripper No. 32 1 190. At installation replace самоконтрящуюся a nut. If necessary hold knot from a provorachivaniye for an internal hexagon. Weaken the left and right tightening bolts (see an illustration) and turn out the adjusting coupling of draft at the left and on the right. Measure depth of installation of the adjusting coupling on the ends of old draft and screw the adjusting coupling on new draft on the corresponding depth on both sides. Installation is made upside-down. Grease the adjusting coupling of draft with special lubricant. Upon termination of works check and adjust the angles of installation of forward wheels.

After replacement of the pendular lever it is necessary to adjust a steering bipod.
