4.4.6. Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft

For removal and installation of epiploons it is recommended to use special devices. For access to the forward epiploon established in the lower cover of a chain of GRM remove a damper of tortional fluctuations. Below the procedure of ensuring access to a back epiploon is described.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove RKPP together with coupling or AT (see the Head the Manual box of gear shifting and coupling or Automatic transmission).
  2. Lower motive oil (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).
  3. Remove a flywheel (see the Section Removal and installation of a flywheel).
  1. Turn out fixing bolts.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of a back epiploon of a bent shaft. Separate laying of a case from a cover of a back epiploon and uncover.

The cover of a back epiploon is delivered complete with an epiploon. If necessary the epiploon can be taken and established in a cover by means of special adaptation

  1. Replace laying. With a case apply Hylomar SQ32 Spezial sealant on joints.
  1. Install adaptation No. 11 2 390 on a bent shaft. Oil motive working edges of an epiploon and place an epiploon cover then carefully remove adaptation No. 11 2 390 on the regular place.
  1. If openings under bolts of fastening of a cover of a back epiploon are closed, use bolts with a six-sided head, having paid attention to their length. Otherwise use bolts with a head under a prutkovy key, at the same time use new washers.
