4.5.9. Removal and installation of driving belts

Replacement of a belt of the drive of the K/V compressor of the M73 engine is made similar to replacement of a belt of the drive of the K/V compressor of the M60 engine (see the Section Removal and installation of belts of the drive of auxiliary units). Only the procedure of replacement of a belt of the drive of the generator is given below.

If further use of the taken-off belt is supposed, note the direction of its movement.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remember the scheme of laying of a belt on pulleys.
  1. Remove the cooling system fan drive coupling together with a krylchatka (see the Section Removal and installation of the coupling of the drive of a ventilyatoraglava of the Cooling system of the engine, heating, ventilation and conditioning).
  2. Disconnect from the engine, over the generator, a cooling system hose.
  1. Having given nuts (No. No. 1-4), weaken a tension of a belt and remove it.
  1. Check a condition of a belt (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car) and if necessary replace it.
  2. Lay a driving belt on pulleys and rollers and make sure of correctness of its situation.

At installation of already used belt observe the former direction of its movement.

  1. Move an adjusting plate of a natyazhitel of a belt for a hexagon (5) against the stop and tighten at first a nut 3 and 4, and then – nuts 1 and 2.
